Manipulating Post Order with Dates

You can manipulate the order by which posts appear by altering the publication date. WordPress displays posts in categories with the most recent on top – so if you want the posts to display in a particular order, change the publication dates.

You can do this from the All Posts page. Select “Quick Edit” to change the metadata (information on how WordPress uses your post). Adjust the publication date to a later time so that the post you want on top is perceived by WordPress to be the most recent post in that category … and it will be on top.

“Technical Issues” is a category of posts prepared for “The Writing Pastor” workshop attempting to provide answers to questions that might come up related to the technical issues of blogging. I am not an expert … but willing to share my opinion and experience. Someone who knows what they are doing will probably find my generalizations hilarious. My hope is that someone who knows less than I do might find them helpful.
