The Focusing Question is the foundational habit
“What’s the ONE Thing I can do / such that by doing it / everything else will be easier or unnecessary?”
Keller, Gary. The ONE Thing (p. 107). Bard Press. Kindle Edition.
The Focusing Question is the foundational habit I use to achieve extraordinary results and lead a big life. I use it for some things and not at all for others. I apply it to the important areas of my life:
my spiritual life,
And I address them in that order—each one is a foundation for the next.
Keller, Gary. The ONE Thing (p. 112). Bard Press. Kindle Edition.
Your first one thing is to search for Clues and role models to point you to the right direction. The first thing to do is ask, has anyone else that eat or accomplish this or something like it? The answer is almost always he asked, so your investigation Begins by finding out what others have learned. 125
Your big one thing is your purpose and your small one thing is the priority you take action on to achieve it. 129
Purpose is the straightest path to power in the ultimate source of personal strengths. The prescription for Extraordinary results is knowing what matters to you and taking daily doses of actions in alignment with it. 143
