GTD/NPM: ARCHITECT OF IDEAS … WRITING
GTD/NPM Focus: ARCHITECT OF IDEAS … WRITING … actually Clifton Strengths.

GTD – the Natural Planning Model
BORING: giant exhausting fill in the blank projects.
EXCITING: really helping someone, drawing their attention
HOPE: this is really worthwhile.
Step 1: Defining Purpose and Principles
(Parameters and boundaries.)
I love to discover new ideas.
I love to connect people with information that could help them.
I love to work to understand a problem and then be able to communicate it clearly.
I am thrilled by affirmation of my explanation.
I love to create a strategy to help others employing this new information.
I write to help myself with my problems, then to help my friends and finally to help anyone who will listen; my first priority, however, is to solve my own problems.
My writing expresses my Clifton strengths and is an authentic expression of my identity. It’s natural to me to talk to the page.
I organize myself so that my writing is always fun. It’s work, but it’s fun.
I publish in two ways. One blog is very polished with a very focused purpose to draw in readers. I edit this blog very carefully. It is a product for sale.
The other media channel is simply a giant box or warehouse of ideas where I can put out a thought and let it be on display. It’s an online digital file cabinet. A commonplace notebook. I do not edit this blog unless there is financial incentive and editorial or reader interest. What I put here is generated quickly for rapid closure. It’s a “quote and note” sort of blog post bin.
I publish to fulfill the parable of the talents; I do not bury what I have received.
I have a clear and enjoyable process to follow that protects me from predictable and discouraging elements of creative writing. I can simply follow the recipe, the path, to the results I want. (90-90-1.)
I get discouraged by making plans that are too big or too long and therefore exhausting. Therefore I make plans that are segmented into very doable, brief tasks, tiny habits size, and which result in projects which are quick and done. Fill in the blanks should work for me but it doesn’t work; too much work in progress.
I do not want to exhaust myself with publishing, so self-publishing through blog post is sufficient for me.
THIS CREATIVE TASK IS MY “CAKE” – WHAT I DO FOR SIGNIFICANCE AND CELEBRATION. IT IS THE WRITTEN EXPRESSION OF MY TOP TEN CLIFTONSTRENGTHS.
– WHAT DID I LEARN AND WRITE TODAY?
What qualifies me to retire? To shake the dust off my feet? What releases me from the obligation of the Talents?
What would I do instead?
Step 2: Outcome Visioning
Closure: quote, strategy, comment; QNQS.
Clear advantage to me; strategy.
I know what is in my inventory and the stage toward being done.
Step 3: Brainstorming
“Seven small mind maps”

Step 5: Identifying Next Actions
Before placing these four items onto my “Current Projects” List, I identified my Next Actions and put them on my context-based list.
August 19 Reboot:
Anchor: When I … ??? Anchor?
Behavior: I will open the next blog post, read it and improve it.
Celebrate: with a rejoicing ceremony.
